Heather praised the importance of raising money for cancer research - which she credits as giving Deborah 'over five years'.
She then expressed her awe at Deborah's recorded message - which was broadcast for the first time yesterday in a never-before-seen video - calling her daughter's work 'amazing'. 'I think within a day it hit a million and she was overwhelmed as we all were and I just wish she was here to see it was 11.3 million. 'She'd set a target of £250,000,' the mother-of-three said, explaining the fund's origins. Speaking on Lorraine today, Heather James, 65, thanked 'every supporter' for their contribution. She had launched the Bowelbabe cancer research fund to raise money for research into personalised medicine for cancer patients.
